About the project:
In "Il dilemma del porcospino" Arthur Schopenhauer describes a situation in which two porcupines, driven by the need to protect themselves from the cold, approach each other to exchange heat. In this movement, however, they are seized by the pain that they cause each other by pricking with their own quills. This pain leads them to move away again and the situation is resolved only when the two manage to find the right distance.

When I learn about this metaphor, I am struck by it as it perfectly expresses one of the most important issues that characterize the invisible and elusive experience of being human, or rather, of the growth process of a human being: being with others without getting hurt. It's no coincidence that a project that talks about the exploration of borders, their delineation and their dissolution, of distances and proximity, is born from an encounter. Contextualized in the historical moment in question, moreover, they are themes that can very well be actualized and that have touched the community by deeply marking it.
