Born from salt - Print #01

Image taken from the project "Born from salt" (2022), available in different sizes as a Fine Art print on premium quality paper. This is an open edition print and made-to-order. Each print is hand-signed and numbered with the "OE-x" code, where the "x" stands for the number of the print.

I chose Hahnemühle Photo Rag Pearl paper for this specific print, which is non-textured, has a slightly glossy but still opaque finish allowing for brighter blacks, and a quite neutral white color.

About the project:
Born from salt is a one-voice dialogue in which I stage attempts at reconstructing myself through the decomposition of my own overstructures. It is the research of a way of being human without external framings which now weigh more than support.

Through the use of body and presence, to be intended more from a performative standpoint rather than a visual one, I symbolically return to the chrysalis of birth, reinterpreting it in search of a new sense of identity. I tend towards the rejunction to the initial form to understand when things began to unstuck, to fracture, to recompose them to break the tight mesh of hereditary traumas without implying fracturing, experiencing new forms of absence of containment.
